Meet Dr. Heather Ford

Dr. Heather Ford is a fully-trained Orthodontic Specialist, with a Master’s degree in Orthodontics and a Fellowship with the Royal College of Dentists of Canada. She treats a wide range of patients at any age and provides all aspects of orthodontic treatment, including silver braces, clear braces, Invisalign, lingual (inside) braces, as well as early (phase I) treatment. Dr. Ford truly enjoys working in the dental profession and all aspects of Orthodontics, especially getting to know her patients and their families.  She is committed to helping her patients achieve beautiful and healthy smiles.   

Dr. Ford completed a Bachelor of Science degree with high honours in Biochemistry (Molecular Biology specialization) from McMaster University and subsequently went on to complete a Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Toronto.  She graduated ranked first in her class and was awarded the esteemed Dean’s Gold medal for the highest achievement in dental school.  She also received multiple awards in Orthodontics and Pediatric dentistry, showcasing her love and aptitude for Orthodontics and dentistry for children.  Dr. Ford worked as a Dentist in the GTA, but her passion for orthodontics brought her back to the University of Toronto to pursue an additional three-year specialist’s degree, receiving the prestigious Masters of Science in Orthodontics.

Based in Mississauga, Ontario, Dr. Ford is a retired member of Team Canada Synchronized Figure Skating team, having competed as a competitive figure skater nationally and internationally. She enjoys spending time with her family: her husband Rob and her two beautiful young children.
