Meet Dr. Emily Chen
I consider myself truly lucky to be in a profession where I can make a lifelong impact on children’s oral health from a very young age. It may take more patience, love, and tender care to build a trusting relationship with a dentist, but nothing is more rewarding than achieving a healthy smile together.
I graduated with high distinction from the University of Toronto, and continued my dental education at the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Dental Medicine. Outside of school hours, I volunteered at community centers and took on leadership roles in school organizations to bring dental care to patients with limited access to dentistry in the city of Philadelphia.
Since I’ve always enjoyed treating children, I decided to further continue my education in pediatric dentistry. I completed the residency program at Montefiore Medical Center in New York City, where I expanded my knowledge and skills in working with children at all levels of dental and medical complexity. Even today, I am committed to keeping up to date with the latest scientific research in pediatric dentistry.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and my family dog, Minnie, in Toronto. I also love traveling with my boyfriend around the world, visiting museums and world heritage sites. I am also fluent in Chinese Mandarin and Japanese.
